Welcome to Three Meals and a Cookie! My name is Lisa, and I am so happy to have you here. I started this blog because I can’t get enough of cooking and baking, and I wanted a way to do something food related in addition to my life as a 9-5er and part-time graduate student.
Why Three Meals and a Cookie? Well, I look forward to each and every meal, and a good cookie at the end of the day keeps me going!
I consume food blogs and articles about food like other (perhaps more normal) people read the news. I love the routine of cooking; in fact, I’ve never met a routine I didn’t like. It makes me feel comforted and productive to have something roasting in the oven or simmering on the stove while studying or hanging around the house, and I appreciate a well-stocked freezer.
Here I will share the meals that have fallen into my breakfast, lunch, and dinner routine, and the occasional treat that will probably include oats, whole wheat flour and natural sugars (sorry I’m not sorry, in the words of my younger sister). I like to eat healthy, often, and well, and I hope to post recipes that make all those things happen!
